Ilebaye Odiniya, the winner of the Big Brother Naija All Stars season, has revealed why she took cowries with her into the house.
This came few months after her fellow housemate, Ceec, accused her of being fetish for speaking to cowries in the house.
Note that Cowries are often used in African cultures for divination, protection, and healing.
They are also seen as a symbol of wealth and prosperity.
For Ilebaye, the cowries were a way to stay connected to her brother and feel his presence.
In a recent interview, Ilebaye explained that the cowries belonged to her late brother and were very special to her.
According to her, they made her feel his presence.
“Yes, I had something precious,” she said. “The cowries belonged to my late brother. It made me feel like my late brother was still with me.”
