Mohbad’s wife was cheating around, laced his food with sleeping pills, I don’t trust her – Singer’s Dad testifies in court

Joseph Aloba, the dad to the the late musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, also referred to as Mohbad, made an appearance at a coroner’s court on Wednesday. He claimed that his son’s wife, Wunmi Aloba, had an extramarital affair prior to his passing.

Along with Mohbad’s mother and wife, Mr. Aloba was observed yesterday coming at the Lagos State High Court in Ikorodu for the committee report of the Corona inquest into the young singer’s death.

In today’s coroner’s court testimony, Mohbad’s father described how the Singers’ wife would sometimes mix sleeping pills with his food.

Joseph said that his deceased daughter-in-law had cheated on him.

He said;

“I don’t trust his wife. My son told me she always put sleeping pills in his noodles and went to another room to sleep with another signee in the same house.”

Mr Aloba also testified that the deceased’s landed property was in the custody of his mother-in-law, adding that the deceased often told him about his possessions held by his wife and her family.

Joseph told the Coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, that he and his son lived together for 18 years.

The late singer’s dad said that he did not know the exact house in which his late son was living with Marley. He testified that his son left his (Joseph‘s) house at the age of consent and began to assist Marley while embarking on his career in music.

Joseph said that he saw the deceased three days before his death. He added that he saw the deceased’s casket only in a picture.

According to him, the deceased assured him that he would be able to handle his dispute with Marley.
