“All your c¥rses are back to sender because I’m not in support of my wife campaigning for Tinubu” – Kolawole Ajeyemi distances self from Toyin Abraham
Kolawole Ajeyemi the husband of Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham has distanced himself from her supporting her preferred Presidential candidate which is All Progressive Congress representative, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It is not breaking news that the actress has been the subject of the public’s criticism for joining her colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry to endorse Tinubu.
A few days ago Toyin Abraham took to her Instagram page, where she shared pictures of herself, Tinubu, and Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at an event.
She claimed that this is her first encounter with Tinubu, and after discussing the strategy he intends to employ to address the nation’s problems with her, she left feeling certain that she had made the right decision.
She wrote: “For the first time, I met the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and he shared some of his Ideas, Visions and Strategy to solve the challenges before us, as a Nation. Listening to him indeed renewed my hope and reaffirmed why he is my choice. Jagaban is coming!”
Since her firm support for Bola Tinubu, a lot of her fans and colleagues have been blasting her for being insensitive to the cries of the people.
Reacting to the call out and c¥rses, her husband took to his Instagram page to air his views, clearing stating that he is not a party to Toyin’s choice.
“Good day everybody, it’s not like I asked anyone of you to vote for any candidate or campaigned for any party and the fact that my wife is supporting a specific party doesn’t mean that I’m supporting her.
So, those of you laying c¥rses on my children I rebuke it all and I wish you all the same. And I repeat I did not campaign for any candidate,’ he wrote.
It would be recalled that a fan of Toyin Abraham had earlier accused her of planning to relocate her family abroad after influencing the voting in of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Twitter user with the name @Oyinlee wrote: “I am not a person to do this but Toyin this is beyond funny. Why is your husband, step daughter, mother in law, mother on the UK queue fighting to get visa.
Yet you seeing the future whilst relocating your Fam, is that not hypocrisy. Please do better. I await your response. Asiwaju baby, but you dey relocate your family low-key. Toyin, you no go fear God? If Nigeria good, you go find UK visa for your family?”
On her part, Toyin Abraham countered the claims. She also said she will not sue for the lies told against her because she believes Bola Ahmed Tinubu will become President of Nigeria after the elections.
Toyin Abraham replied: “My Mother In law has never been to the UK or UK embassy. Relocating my family to the UK? I won’t sue you for your lies. I will let it slide, you know why? By this time tomorrow, Asiwaju will be victorious. I know my choice is why you decided to cook up this lie but God will judge you.”
