Tonto Dikeh was born on June 9th, 1985, in Port Harcourt as Tonto Wigo Charity Dikeh. Her parents are Sunny Dikeh (father) and Veronica Dikeh (mother).

She is the third born in a family of five children. The actress lost her mother when she was three years old. Her father then remarried, and her stepmother raised her since she was young.
