Burna Boy pays tribute to Wizkid’s mother

Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning artist, has expressed appreciation for Wizkid’s late mother. It was repored that Wizkid’s mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun, passed away on Friday, August 18, around 1:30 a.m.

The depressing news was revealed to The Punch by Sunday Aare, Wizkid’s longtime manager.

He confirmed that she had passed away this morning at around 1:30 am.

Burna Boy paused mid-performance at his Detroit event to pay tribute to the departed.

He introduced himself as Wizkid’s brother and said he could relate to Wizkid’s suffering since he couldn’t comprehend what it would be like to lose his own mother.

Davido responded to the tragic news by sending him a message of condolence on his Instagram story.

Davido comforted him by saying that sadness passes with the passage of time and pledged to remember him in his prayers.

Wizkid opens up on relationship with Burna

Recall that while opening up on his relationship with Burna Boy, in an interview on BBC Radio 1 Xtra, Wizkid revealed that Burna Boy is family to him.

When asked to choose between Tems and Burna, Wizkid responded, “They are both family mehn. I can’t choose one over the other.”

The beef started when Wizkid sent a message to his colleagues in the industry, telling them to start addressing him as sir or daddy.

Replying him, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story to shade him, stating that he can’t talk money with Wizkid if he hasn’t made $100 million this year.

He gave Wizkid some advice, telling him to go smoke breakfast and sit down.

In response, Wizkid used his Instagram story to leave him a message.

He mocked him and implied that he was being shaded by someone who was beneath him.
